SMPTE VSF Joint Conference Announcement

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (BUSINESS WIRE) June 1, 2007: The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers and Video Services Forum are pleased to announce the dates and location for their joint SMPTE/VSF Conference. This event will be held at the Intercontinental Houston Hotel in Houston, Texas, Feb. 10-13, 2008.

The joint conference highlights three days of informative technical sessions on the latest technologies, including issues on IPTV, digital content quality, acquisition and distribution, as well as hot topics such as streaming media and podcasting. Further details of the program will be made available as they occur.

In addition to technical sessions, the joint conference also showcases some of the latest applications, technologies and products in its exhibit hall. The exhibition kicks off with an opening night reception and preview on Sunday, Feb. 10. The exhibit then runs Monday through Tuesday, Feb. 11-12.

The SMPTE/VSF Joint Conference also will include a number of special networking events, providing attendees the opportunity to interact with colleagues and peers.
